A snare drum from the Dixon Artisan series, measuring 14" x 6.5", made from a combination of Silkwood and North American maple. This construction delivers a warm, full sound with a clear attack and good projection.

The shell is approximately 7.2 mm thick and features 45° bearing edges. The 6.5" depth provides greater sound body and a stronger low end than shallower snare drums, while maintaining good response to playing dynamics.

Die-cast hoops help stabilize tuning and enhance the snare drum’s attack. 10 tuning rods allow more precise control of head tension, while tube lugs give the instrument a classic look.

The snare drum is equipped with an Evans UV1 Coated batter head and an Evans SS Clear resonant head. The Dixon Flip-Drop Style snare throw-off and adjustable butt end allow convenient control of snare wire response.
