Description
The new offering from the D’Addario-owned Evans brand features the first drumheads on the market whose coating is cured using UV radiation (ultraviolet radiation). UV1 drumheads are the result of years of research, experimentation, and continuous product development. According to Evans, thanks to the new curing technique, the drumheads are characterized by unmatched durability, longevity, surface roughness, and versatility. UV1 has also been equipped with a new, single-ply 10-mil film providing warmer tonal characteristics and greater resistance to stretching and damage.
These new solutions have been combined with Evans Level 360 technology, resulting in - as the manufacturer ensures - the most versatile and durable 10-mil drumhead on the market, intended for an exceptionally wide range of musical applications and aimed at drummers tired of the flaking, cracking, and wearing out of traditional drumheads. An additional benefit of UV1 is the increased surface roughness, making the drumheads more sensitive to brush play, for example.
