GRV CAJ-JR1 MultiBox Junior Cajon is a unique percussion instrument designed for children who are just starting their adventure with music. Thanks to its thoughtful design, compact dimensions, and special details, playing it becomes intuitive, comfortable, and full of joy.

The cajon is shorter than standard models, allowing children to sit comfortably and play freely. The front plate is slightly tilted, which facilitates access to the entire playing surface and makes it easy for even younger children to produce various sounds.

More than just a cajon – creative play with sound

The GRV CAJ-JR1 stands out with side plates with cutouts, which act as additional sound sources:

• One side has as many as three cutouts emitting different tones, creating an effect reminiscent of a small xylophone.

• The other side has a semi-circular cutout with a single sound, ideal for simple rhythmic accents.

This encourages children to experiment and discover different sounds.

Learning through play

On the front plate of the cajon, three colored hands (blue, yellow, red) have been painted, which serve as a guide:

• The middle color shows where to strike to achieve a deep bass sound.

• The colors in the corners indicate zones where a clear, percussive snare sound can be produced.

This system allows children to easily learn the basics of playing and develop a sense of rhythm.

Sound that inspires

The shell and front plate are made of high-quality birch wood, known for its warm, natural sound. Inside the instrument, there is a snare wire that adds a characteristic sizzling tone to strikes on the upper parts of the cajon. The rear sound port further amplifies the sound, making it more resonant.

Safety and stability

The cajon has 4 rubber, non-slip feet, which prevent the instrument from sliding while playing and protect the surface it stands on. The natural birch finish is pleasant to the touch and safe for children.
