MEINL Byzance Traditional Medium Hihat 16" is a large hi-hat made from B20 bronze, offering a warm, smooth sound and a wide dynamic range. The 16" diameter gives it a fuller and more developed character than standard, smaller hi-hats.

The cymbals are hand-hammered and feature a traditional finish. The Medium weight provides a stable response under the stick and maintains good control during both softer and more powerful playing. When closed, the hi-hat delivers a clear, well-defined attack.

When opened, the sound remains soft and controlled without becoming overly aggressive. The 16" diameter provides a broad sound and a softer feel while still maintaining clarity for timekeeping. When played with the foot, the hi-hat produces a clear, short “chick”.
