MEINL Sonic Energy Sensory Handpan Stainless Steel D Amara 9 Notes 440 Hz – Vintage Gold is a handcrafted stainless steel handpan tuned to the D Amara scale. The instrument features 9 tone fields and uses standard 440 Hz tuning. The scale is arranged so that the individual notes naturally complement one another, making it easier to create melodies freely and improvise.
The central note of the instrument is D3, while the surrounding tone fields form the scale A3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4, C5. The handpan delivers a soft, harmonic sound with long sustain. It also responds well to delicate playing, allowing the player to control dynamics and produce different tonal colors depending on where and how the instrument is struck.
The body is made from durable stainless steel and finished in Vintage Gold. The instrument measures 22" in diameter and 9" in height. Two resonance ports facing opposite directions are located on the underside. The included two removable resonance tubes allow the sound character to be adjusted further – the longer tube is designed for lower frequencies, while the shorter tube is intended for higher frequencies.
The Sensory Handpan is suitable for solo playing, improvisation, music education, and use together with other instruments. The set includes a complete range of storage and transport accessories, including a padded backpack with adjustable straps, a stainless steel protective cover, and a soft velvet bag.
