Anup Sastry, in collaboration with Meinl, has created a signature drumstick that combines great power with incredible agility. Based on the Heavy 2B model, the stick has been lengthened, equipped with a medium taper, and thinned down, giving it exceptional reach and power while remaining light so it doesn't become heavy or sluggish. An additional thin layer of lacquer improves grip, ensuring a secure hold.
Anup Sastry says: "As a larger stick, it's very well balanced. Not too heavy, not too light. I always wanted a stick that's a bit longer and thicker than a typical 2B, but I didn't want it to be clunky or too heavy. It's the best of both worlds – the dimensions of a larger stick with the weight of something smaller and more agile."
