PALISSO Floring Bass Drum 18" damping ring
What drummers most often dislike is the humming, booming, and blurred tom sound full of shrill overtones. The floor tom, in addition to its meaty, low sound, also produces many undesirable phenomena in its acoustic band that discourage further playing. This state of affairs led some drummers, disappointed by the sound of their drums, to creatively search for new solutions.
FLORING is a Palisso Percussion product made from an exceptionally thin and ultra-light membrane, covered on one side with visco-cotton flock. The surface of the floring does not produce the slightest whisper during membrane vibration, which is especially important when recording in a studio. The structure and high shape memory of florings make them resistant to deformation caused by accidental stick hits. When playing with a floring, there is no choking of the drum sound or reduction of its dynamics, as they are very light and vibrate together with the drumhead.
