To be truly great, one must evolve over time. Drum legend Dennis Chambers took this to heart when considering the transformation of his snare sound. Dennis designed his new Signature Snare with sound evolution in mind. Utilizing the multi-element construction of his previous model, it features a characteristic 10 lugs on top and eight on the bottom for ultimate tonal focus.
Returning to the 4-ply Maple with 4-ply Re-Ring shell from his original Signature model (this time in a matte black lacquer finish for visual versatility), it offers a solid, searing, and articulate sound that fits well on any "playground".
The real difference lies in the SR-300 Philharmonic Strainer, which includes three individually tunable 6-strand snare wires.
Each can be engaged or disengaged to further sculpt the drum's sound. Reliably durable, heavy MasterCast Die-Cast hoops by Pearl also increase projection power and reduce overtones.
