To be truly great, you have to evolve over time. Drum legend Dennis Chambers took this to heart as he considered transforming the sound of his snare drum. Dennis designed his new Signature Snare with the evolution of sound in mind. Utilizing the multi-element construction of his previous model, it features the distinctive10 lugs on the top and eight on the bottom for ultimate tonal sharpness.
Returning to the4-ply maple with the 4-ply Re-Ring bodyfrom his original Signature model (this time in a matte black lacquered finish for visual versatility),offers a solid, searing and expressive soundthat fits well with any "playground".
The real difference is that the SR-300 Philharmonic Strainer containsthree individually tuned 6-strand springs.
Each of these can be turned on or off to further sculpt your drum sound . Pearl's reliably durable, heavy-duty Mastercast Die-Cast rims also increase projection power and reduce hum.
