Made from two plies of film bonded together. There is a vacuum between the layers of film designed to dampen very high overtones and shorten the sustain. The result of this membrane construction is a fairly sharp, low sound with a moderate attack. Its sound characteristics are ideal for achieving a deeper and fuller drum sound that works in various stage and studio situations.
This is the drumhead most frequently chosen by rock and metal drummers. If you have a hard-hitting style like Lars Ulrich from Metallica, these are the drumheads for you.
