The SPD-SX Special Edition was designed for professional musicians who need more capabilities. 16 GB of built-in memory allows you to store up to 50 hours of 16-bit/44.1 kHz mono audio (maximum 10,000 files), so you can store your sample library in the device without any external memory. In addition to the main outputs, sub-outputs are available for monitoring or sending individual pads to separate channels on a mixing console. You can also route through the phones output and easily control it with a dedicated volume knob and Start / Stop button. It is even possible to route individual pads through the phones output. And if you need a larger configuration, up to four additional pads can be connected. *

Ableton Live Lite included

You can also get sounds from Ableton Live Lite, a web browser, or a computer player directly to the pads, giving you flexibility and versatility when preparing sounds for live performances.

Through the USB memory port on the SPD-SX Special Edition, you can directly import audio files from a USB flash drive and assign them to pads. The process of importing and assigning samples is much easier using the SPD-SX Wave Manager software. You can import audio files directly from your computer to the SPD-SX Special Edition, assign samples to a pad, and easily organize thousands of samples in your library.
