The legendary SM81 model is an industry standard. It is a cardioid condenser microphone with a flat frequency response that provides a wide bandwidth and low self-noise.

The SM81 has a flat frequency response curve, which ensures accurate reproduction of the sound source and can also be modified via the low-cut filter switch. The lockable 0 dB/10 dB pad switch offers even greater flexibility when miking very loud sound sources. The cardioid polar pattern isolates the main sound source and limits environmental interference.
