The tongue drum (also known as a tong drum, tank drum, hapi drum) and handpan (also known as a hank drum, UFO drum, chakra drum) are percussion instruments designed to help focus on sensations, the body, and emotions. Their primary purpose is to support relaxation, meditation, and inner journeys.

Which tongue drum and handpan models are these pieces suitable for? Every tongue drum model is slightly different, so it is impossible to include all types in one book. The pieces in this book are suitable for most handpan models. For tongue drums, the instrument should have at least 10 notes, as many pieces require playing in more than one octave. 13 melodies from the book can be performed on an instrument with a 1-octave range, while the rest require an instrument with 10+ notes or a handpan.
