Christmas Carols for percussion ensemble have been arranged with percussion students of both primary and secondary music schools in mind. The individual parts vary in terms of difficulty and the percussion instrumentation used. This allows for involving both beginners in the art of percussion and much more advanced students in a single ensemble.
The arrangements utilize instruments such as: chromatic bells, vibraphone, marimba, triangle, bongos, castanets, sleigh bells, snare drum, and drum kit. The marimba parts are written in such a way that they can alternatively be performed by the piano.
The arrangements of the carols vary in character and are kept in a popular music style. They reference styles such as: funk, bossa nova, or tango.
