Diatonic or other bells fit perfectly into the atmosphere of caroling at home or with friends.
They are small and resistant to changing weather conditions, while producing a carrying and long-sustaining sound.
Grzegorz Templin has prepared a set of the most popular carols in two versions. The first is the melody alone, and the second is the melody with accompaniment (each hand plays its own part). The musical notation of the melody contains several aids. The note heads provide the note names, and under the notes, there is text to facilitate remembering the melody being played. Above the melody, symbolic chord markings (shapes) are also provided.
A second person can therefore accompany on guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, piano, keyboard, or accordion. The two-voice version is written without any additional information to make it easier to follow the separate melodic lines of the right and left hands.
The arrangements are primarily intended for the most popular 27-note chromatic bells (27 bars) with a range from G2 to A4.
The author presented information on which carols can also be played on the popular diatonic bells or the less common but interesting bells with replaceable bars.
