Boomwhackers - Octavator Tube Caps
An Octavator cap placed on an individual tube lowers the pitch of any Boomwhacker by one octave. For instance, if we place octavators on bass tubes, we can build a set with a range of 3 and a half octaves!
The caps also allow for the use of another playing technique on Boomwhackers: by vertically striking the tube against the floor (using the end with the octavator attached). This makes the sound louder and more resonant.
