Description
The Silk cymbal series by Diril is characterized by a unique appearance and a surprising sound. The top side of the cymbal has not been subjected to the lathing process, but only sandblasted. This results in a raw, matte finish with numerous discolorations. These cymbals are lathed on the bottom and feature a brilliant finish. Their sound is very complex, yet high overtones with a sandy decay dominate the overall sound. Silk series cymbals have a relatively short sustain, and their sound is round, slightly dampened, and pleasant to the ear. The Ocean version features cut-out holes, which make the cymbal sound very dark and trashy.
