Description

Single-ply EVANS J1 Etched head in size 16" has a matte etched surface. The construction is based on one layer of film with a thickness of 10 mil.

The head provides an open, warm sound and good sensitivity when playing lighter dynamics. The matte surface works well with brushes, making this model suitable for jazz, acoustic music, and playing that requires greater dynamic control.

The sound character is more open than in more heavily dampened heads. The model allows for longer sustain and a natural drum response.
