Description
EVANS Power Center Coated 13" is a coated batter head designed for snare drums, made from a single 10 mil film layer. It provides a clear attack, good stick response, and controlled overtones while maintaining an open and resonant sound.
The center of the head features a 5 mil reinforcing dot. It is applied to the top of the head and features characteristic cutouts that allow it to move together with the membrane. This design increases durability in the area that receives the most frequent hits without overly restricting resonance.
The coated surface contributes to a warmer, more focused sound character. Power Center offers a balanced attack, relatively long sustain, and a bright response, making it suitable for regular playing, rehearsals, live performances, and recording.
The head uses EVANS Level 360 technology, which helps the membrane seat properly on the drum's bearing edge and provides a wide tuning range.
