EVANS Hydraulic Red 10, 12, 16 + UV1 Coated drumhead set
The set includes Evans Hydraulic Red 10", 12", and 16" tom drumheads and an Evans UV1 Coated 14" snare drumhead.
Hydraulic drumheads are characterized by a classic sound and short sustain. You can tune them tight for a real punch, or looser for a bigger slap. Between the two clear plies is a thin film of oil that dampens unwanted overtones.
UV1 drumheads, thanks to a new curing technique, feature unsurpassed strength, durability, surface texture, and versatility. UV1s are also equipped with a new, single 10-mil ply that provides a warmer tonal character and greater resistance to stretching and damage. These new solutions have been combined with Evans Level 360 technology, resulting in – as the manufacturer claims – the most versatile and durable 10-mil drum coating on the market, intended for exceptionally wide musical applications and aimed at drummers tired of the peeling, cracking, and wearing out of traditional drumheads. An additional benefit of UV1 is the increased surface roughness, making the drumheads more sensitive to, for example, brush playing.
