Description
The latest offering from the D’Addario-owned brand Evans is the first drumhead on the market with a UV-cured coating (ultraviolet radiation). UV1 drumheads are the result of years of research, experimentation, and continuous product development. According to Evans, thanks to the new curing technique, these drumheads feature unparalleled durability, longevity, surface texture, and versatility. UV1 also features a new, single 10-mil ply providing a warmer tonal character and greater resistance to stretching and damage.
These new solutions have been combined with Evans Level 360 technology, resulting in—as the manufacturer ensures—the most versatile and durable 10-mil drumhead coating on the market, intended for an exceptionally wide range of musical applications and aimed at drummers tired of the chipping, flaking, and wearing of traditional drumheads. An additional benefit of UV1 is the increased surface texture, Bird making the drumheads more sensitive to brush playing, for example.
