Description

The new offering from the D’Addario owned brand Evans is the first drumhead on the market whose coating is cured using UV radiation (ultraviolet radiation). UV1 drumheads are the result of years of research, experimentation, and continuous company product development. According to Evans, thanks to the new curing technique, the drumheads are characterized by unmatched strength, durability, surface roughness, and versatility. UV1 has also been equipped with a new, single 10-mil coating providing warmer tonal characteristics and greater resistance to stretching and damage.

The new solutions have been combined with Evans Level 360 technology, resulting in – as the manufacturer assures – the most versatile and durable 10-mil drum coating on the market, designed for an exceptionally wide range of musical applications and aimed at drummers tired of the peeling, cracking, and wearing out of traditional drumheads. An additional benefit of UV1 is the increased surface roughness, making the drumheads more sensitive to, for example, brush playing.
