Description
The new offering from the D’Addario-owned Evans brand are the first drumheads on the market with a coating cured by UV (ultraviolet) radiation. UV1 drumheads are the result of years of research, experimentation, and continuous product development. According to Evans, thanks to the new curing technique, these drumheads feature unsurpassed strength, durability, surface texture, and versatility. UV1 has also been equipped with a new 10-mil single-ply film providing a warmer tonal characteristic and greater resistance to stretching and damage.
These new solutions have been combined with Evans Level 360 technology, resulting – as the manufacturer assures – in the most versatile and durable 10-mil drumhead on the market, designed for an exceptionally wide range of musical applications and aimed at drummers tired of the peeling, chipping, and wearing out of traditional drumheads. An additional benefit of UV1 is the increased surface roughness, making the drumheads more responsive to brush playing, for example.
