Description
The new offering from the Evans brand, owned by D’Addario, features the first drumheads on the market with a UV-cured coating (ultraviolet radiation). UV1 drumheads are the result of years of research, experimentation, and continuous product development. According to Evans, thanks to the new curing technique, the drumheads are characterized by unmatched durability, longevity, surface texture, and versatility. UV1 has also been equipped with a new 10-mil single-ply film providing warmer tonal characteristics and greater resistance to stretching and damage.
New solutions have been combined with Evans' Level 360 technology, which resulted—as the manufacturer ensures—in the most versatile and durable 10-mil drumhead coating on the market, designed for an exceptionally wide range of musical applications and aimed at drummers tired of the peeling, cracking, and wearing out of traditional drumheads. An additional benefit of the UV1 is the increased surface roughness, making the drumheads more sensitive to, for example, brush playing.
A set of single-ply drumheads with a thickness of 10 mil (0.25 mm), coated type. Used as batter heads. The coating is cured using UV rays. As a result, its lifespan is significantly longer and it adheres better to the film.
