Description
The Gretsch Broadkaster series is a revival of the legendary line of drum kits that became famous in the 1950s. The drums feature three-ply maple-poplar-maple shells and a "Silver-Sealer" internal finish. The combination of two wood species delivers a warm, fat, and well-controlled sound. Due to the edges, which are beveled inward rather than outward, the contact surface between the drumhead and the shell is increased, and overtones are slightly dampened. This creates the typical "vintage sound" sought after in such drums. Slightly thicker, double-flanged steel hoops also contribute to this. The kit is equipped with the GTS tom suspension system.
