Gretsch Catalina Club Special Blue Satin Flame - shell set 18"/12"/14"/14"
Gretsch Catalina Club Special is a compact 4-piece shell set with an 18" bass drum, 12" tom, 14" floor tom, and 14" snare drum. The kit combines the classic character of mahogany shells with modern mounting solutions, so it works well in jazz, blues, pop, soul, and lighter stage and studio setups.
The shells are made from 7-ply mahogany and have 30° bearing edges, characteristic of the classic Gretsch sound. This construction provides a warm, rounded tone, good dynamic response, and natural resonance with smaller drum sizes.
The 18" bass drum provides a compact kit setup while keeping a fuller acoustic playing feel. The Mini GTS tom suspension system improves resonance and mounting stability, while 1.6 mm triple flanged hoops support an open, classic drum sound.
