Great drummer Mike Johnston knows what a great snare drum sound is all about, and probably no one would argue with that!
When Mike approached Gretsch Drums to develop a new snare drum concept, it was a meeting written in the stars. This snare combines the classic 6-ply Brooklyn maple/poplar shell with several high-performance additions.
Durable, engraved Gretsch 302 hoops, 3.0 mm double-flanged, are paired with double 45-degree bearing edges. Old-school internal muffler. The whole design is completed by the Silver Sealer interior and Mike Johnston’s signature.
Remo heads.
This snare drum comes in a matte finish.
