Great drummer Mike Johnston knows what a great snare drum sound is all about, and I don't think anyone will argue with that!
When Mike approached Gretsch Drums to develop a new snare drum concept, it was a match made in heaven. This snare drum combines the classic 6-ply Brooklyn maple-poplar shell with several high-performance additions.
Durable, engraved Gretsch 302 hoops (3.0 mm double-flanged) are seated on double 45-degree bearing edges. Old-school internal muffler. The whole is completed by a Silver Sealed interior and Mike Johnston's signature.
Remo brand drumheads.
This snare drum comes in a matte finish.
