Description
A handpan is a melodic percussion instrument made of metal, developed by PANArt® in 2000. It combines characteristics of the Trinidadian steelpan, Indian ghatam, Thai gong, and Indonesian Gamelan. It consists of two parts, with the upper part containing tone fields (in various tunings) arranged around a central field called. Made of stainless steel with a unique, inverted note layout with the Ding (central field) as the first note on the scale. They are extremely easy to play, strong and powerful, with long-lasting resonance. Ideal for music therapy or relaxation. The sound is soft and pleasant, and the tones are precise, offering a choice for all percussion techniques, both during soft and dynamic playing.
