Istanbul Agop Mantra Hi-Hat 15"

Hi-hat cymbals from the Signature Mantra series, designed in collaboration with Cindy Blackman Santana. The 15" model offers a full, dark sound with a defined closed response, wide opening, and good control when played with the foot.

The sound is warm, dynamic, and slightly raw. Closed, the hi-hat delivers a clear chick, and when opened it produces a wide, slightly dirty wash. The cymbals retain good definition, so they work well both in more restrained playing and in stronger parts.

The 15" diameter provides more air, depth, and softness than a standard 14" hi-hat. The instrument responds well to stick and foot articulation, allowing for short closed sounds, half-open grooves, and more expressive openings.

Handcrafted production and B20 alloy contribute to rich overtones and the individual character of each piece. The Mantra Hi-Hat 15" works well in both studio and live playing, especially where a darker sound with clear dynamics and good control is needed.
