Rhythmic exercises with a metronome are an inseparable part of every musician's education, especially for a drummer. In the past, these were tedious and boring exercises, lacking any quality control and based on subjective, often incorrect judgment. Practicing without any control means that incorrect habits can become ingrained. KORG created the BEATLAB so that rhythmic exercises are enjoyable and always under careful control. In addition to a comprehensive metronome function, which includes a wide range of sounds, including human voice and real drum sounds, the device is equipped with a training function that detects and evaluates discrepancies between the metronome and the played sounds. Thanks to the KORG CM200 trigger supplied with the BEATLAB, any flat surface to which the microphone can be attached can become a practice pad.
