Description
The Meinl AECLWN is an exceptional cajon, handmade in Spain by master craftsman José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz. This instrument combines traditional construction techniques with modern solutions, ensuring a rich and dynamic sound.
Featuring two sets of eight hand-wound metal strings, the AECLWN offers a sensitive snare effect that can be adjusted using the included key. These strings are precisely tuned, allowing for a wide range of tones – from deep, punchy bass to bright and crisp highs. Additionally, a thick wooden ring around the sound port provides excellent bass compression.
The cajon shell is made of 12 mm thick, 9-ply birch plywood, which guarantees great sound projection and a warm, clear tone. The front of the cajon is made of elegant walnut wood, and the entire unit is decorated with a decorative wooden inlay and a subtle logo branded onto the housing.
For maximum playing comfort, the Meinl AECLWN features an ergonomically rounded front plate and contoured thumb notches. Special formula rubber feet minimize unwanted vibrations and improve the instrument's stability. Additionally, a pop filter is located in the sound port to reduce unwanted air noise.
