MEINL Percussion Artisan Edition Cajon Fandango Line – Indian Heartwood, Tulip Poplar

The AEFLIH cajon is a unique instrument from the Meinl Artisan Edition Fandango series, handmade in Spain by master cajon builder José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz. It combines excellent sound, an elegant appearance, and maximum playing comfort.

The 15 mm resonance shell is made of solid American tulip poplar, providing excellent sound projection and deep bass. The Indian Heartwood front plate, often used in exclusive interior finishes, gives the instrument a unique look and a distinctive sonic character.

The cajon features 16 adjustable strings in two sets of eight, meticulously hand-wound using Master Pepote's technique. This allows for an exceptionally sensitive and precise snare response. The ability to adjust the string tension using two independent tuning screws makes it possible to find the perfect snare sound.

Rounded corners and special thumb notches increase playing comfort and control over the instrument. The cajon is also equipped with specially developed soft rubber feet, a pop filter on the sound port, and decorative wooden inlays that emphasize its unique aesthetics.
