Exceptionally thick and large dampening gel measuring 9cm x 6cm (3.54"x 2.36") and 0.78cm (0.31") thick by MEINL.
It can be used in one piece for a massive effect or cut into any smaller pieces.
Meinl MDHS Honey SLAB is a reliable dampening gel that provides excellent control over the sound of percussion instruments, drums, and cymbals.
Its honey color is meant to suggest the effect of achieving a warm and "sweet" sound (spot on).
These dampening gels work great where full control over the sustain length is essential, and unwanted resonances and sounds are not welcome. They perfectly shorten the decay time of cymbals, allowing for precise articulation.
Meinl MDHS is easy to use - simply trim it (or not) and stick it to the appropriate places on the drum or cymbals.
This gel is reusable, making it an economical solution for every drummer.
The most important feature of the Meinl Honey Slab gel is its versatility. By controlling the quantity and placement of the gels, you can adjust the sound of the instrument to your own preferences. The closer to the edge of the drum, the more open the sound, while moving towards the center, the sound becomes more muffled, offering great possibilities for experimentation.
