Description
MEINL PADJ2-M-G Travel Series djembe has a diameter of 10" and a height of 21". The model belongs to the Travel Rope Tuned series, meaning lightweight djembes with traditional rope tuning.
The shell is made from synthetic material, which reduces the instrument’s weight and makes transport easier. The head is made from hand-selected goatskin, giving a natural playing feel under the hand and a classic djembe response.
The tuning system is based on pre-stretched HTP nylon ropes with a thickness of 4 mm. The construction has 25 runners, meaning rope guide points, which helps maintain stable head tension. The sound combines clear slaps with deeper bass, so the instrument works well for playing at home, classes, workshops, and drum circles.
The Kenyan Quilt finish gives the instrument a distinctive look. The rubber foot protects the bottom of the shell from scratches and helps reduce movement during playing.
