Meinl 14” Benny Greb Signature Quick Sand Hats are unique hi-hat cymbals that combine the characteristic jazz and funk sounds of the 70s and 80s with a modern approach to the instrument. Created in collaboration with one of the most prominent contemporary drummers, Benny Greb, these cymbals offer a perfect balance between crisp definition, warmth, and depth of sound. Featuring a B12 bronze top and a B20 bronze bottom, these cymbals provide a full and dynamic sound that is both clear and soft, with a subtle vintage character.
The cymbals have been sandblasted by hand, giving them a pre-aged look and a distinctive vintage sound. Additionally, the bottom cymbal features a special "sound notch" that prevents airlock and improves clarity and sound control. This notch is inspired by modified cymbals used in the 70s and 80s.
