Description
PAISTE PST X Swiss Flanger Stack 16" – effects stack with a short, dry, and complex sound
PAISTE PST X Swiss Flanger Stack 16" effects stack has an earthy, warm, dry, and slightly washy character. The sound is medium-loud, short, and complex, with a narrow frequency range and a rough mix of harmonics.
The model responds quickly under the stick and has a soft feel. Depending on how tightly the pair is fastened, different effects can be achieved: from dry, trashy sounds close to a hi-hat to louder, collapsing crash-like effects with a clear wash.
Swiss Flanger Stack 16" works well as an additional effects cymbal for short accents, fills, grooves, and parts that require an unusual sound color. The short sustain allows it to be used in fast rhythmic figures without a long decay.

Additional information:
The stack allows the sound character to be changed by adjusting the pressure between the cymbals. Tighter fastening gives a shorter, drier response, while a looser setting allows a noisier, more washy effect.
The model is suitable as an addition to classic crashes, splashes, and china cymbals, especially in music where short, rough, and fast-decaying accents are needed.
