Description
The Pearl Kapur Fiberglass snare drum is a modernized version of the instrument that surprised the drumming world in the 1970s. The snare drum shell is a hybrid combination of kapur wood, known for its rich low-end frequency response, and fiberglass, which highlights the drum's sharp attack. A touch of modernity is provided by Pearl's patented Spin-tight tension bolts. By turning a special key, the diameter of the two-part tension bolt is simultaneously expanded, resulting in greater resistance to heavy rimshots and thus more reliable tuning stability.
