Description
The StaveCraft snare drum provides a sharp, focused sound. This stave-constructed snare drum features shells made from two layers of exotic Makha wood or Thai Oak (Thai Oak) with a total thickness of 25 mm. The shell segments are additionally joined internally using vertical staves – in the Makha version, these are Thai Oak – strengthening the entire structure by 50%. This is Pearl's proprietary Dado-Loc system.
High-density, high-hardness woods and a thick, rigid structure translate into a powerful, bright, and very expressive sound. This is further enhanced by the hardware: MasterCast die-cast hoops and STL Swivel Tube lugs with minimized shell contact. The ensemble is completed by the Click-Lock strainer tensioning 20 Ultra-Sound snare wires (SN-1420I), and Remo USA CS Black Dot Clear (top) and Ambassador Snare (bottom) drumheads.
