Designed in collaboration with one of today’s top percussionists, Marc’s Timbales set consists of standard 14" and 15" drums equipped with Remo drumheads (Clear Ambassador), a double-braced tilting stand, and our best-selling PBL-30 Clave block.
The polished steel Timbale shells feature two centripetal beads that not only add structural strength but also produce a cutting "cascara" sound.
To increase the "cascara" striking area, these timbales feature a 5-lug design that is perfectly proportioned for maximum shell space with less lug interference. Tuning is a breeze thanks to the top tuning system design rather than the standard side tuning.
This exclusive Pearl patent cuts drumhead replacement time in half. No more nuts and washers falling on the floor!
A great feature of the cowbell post is the Sympathetic Sound Dampening, which dampens vibrations and prevents cowbells and blocks from "ringing" through the stand.
