The VAD306 is a unique V-Drums Acoustic Design kit, compact yet simultaneously maintaining the exceptional acoustic aesthetics of this series. It is a mid-range V-Drums kit, making it ideal for home use as well as small stages. The shallow shells save space and weight - but every player will feel immediately familiar. The double-braced stands with tom mounts and cymbal arms complete the setup and further enhance the acoustics. The heart of the VAD306 is the TD-17 module, filled with sounds derived from the acclaimed TD-50 sound engine. It contains a massive collection of vintage and modern kits, cymbals, and percussion instruments, all of which are captured in great detail at every possible velocity and drumhead strike. Roland's unique Prismatic Sound Modeling is then combined with these samples to provide a complex, realistic tonal range and smooth dynamic transitions between hits. The result is an experience that not only sounds acoustic - but also behaves acoustically.

The TD-17 module includes a wide range of ready-to-use kits, including 10 new acoustic presets created for the VAD306. While the preset kits sound fantastic, it is easy to dive deeper and build your ultimate drum set using intuitive editing tools. Think of the module as a massive warehouse of drums and cymbals from different eras that you can mix and match in any combination. Then change the drumhead, adjust the tuning, add muffling, and even change the virtual space in which you play. Go further by loading your own samples and layering them with onboard instruments to create personalized kits that no other drummer can have.

The VAD306 features a 12-inch snare and floor tom, two 10-inch toms, and an 18-inch kick drum that provides a naturally wide playing range. The shells are also made of wood, which enhances the authentic acoustic experience under the sticks and beater.
