ROLAND VAD307 is intentionally compact while maintaining the signature V-Drums Acoustic Design aesthetic. It is a mid-range V-Drums kit, making it ideal for home use as well as small stages. Shallow shells save space and weight - but from the playing position, they are immediately familiar to any drummer. Double-braced stands with tom holders and cymbal arms complete the layout and reinforce the acoustic theme.

The updated TD-17 module provides all the acoustic sound and playability you could ask for, enhanced with more factory kits, expanded effects and Roland Cloud support. VAD307 also includes newly developed thin crash and ride cymbals with a natural feel and movement, as well as flagship stands for solid performance.

At the heart of the VAD307 is the TD-17 module. It contains a massive collection of vintage and modern kits, cymbals and percussion instruments, all of whose audio samples are captured in great detail and at every possible sensitivity and drumhead strike. Roland's unique Prismatic Sound Modeling is combined with these samples to provide a complex, realistic tonal range and smooth dynamic transitions between strikes. The result is an experience that not only sounds acoustic - but behaves acoustically as well.

With the latest update, the TD-17 module is more powerful than ever. Choose from 70 versatile factory kits developed by professional drummers, including 10 brand-new kits and 26 pre-loaded samples that you can use in your own kits. Reverb and Kit Comp effects have also been added, as well as 11 other MFX types for shaping drum sounds. With integrated Roland Cloud content support, you can expand your playing experience with a growing selection of sounds, samples and unique kits from top V-Drums artists.

VAD307 factory kits are ready to play, but it's easy to dive deeper to build the ultimate drum setup. Think of the module as a huge warehouse of drums and cymbals from different eras that you can combine in any way. Then replace the drumheads, change the tuning, add muffling, and even change the virtual space you're playing in. Go even further by loading your own samples and combining them with onboard instruments to create personalized kits that no other drummer can have.

Acoustic drums are usually larger than electronic drum pads. The size of each part enhances the overall experience, not just visually, but also in feel and physical setup. VAD307 features a 12-inch snare and floor tom, two 10-inch toms and an 18-inch bass drum to create a naturally wide spread for maximum playing comfort. The shells are also made of wood, which improves the authentic acoustic feel under the sticks and beater.

Roland's legendary multi-layer, adjustable mesh drumheads contribute significantly to the authentic playing feel, providing rebound that can be adapted to your playing style. And when you bury the beater into the specially designed kick, you physically move the air inside the shell, creating air pressure and resistance that makes you feel like you're playing an acoustic bass drum.

While the shallow tom shells and kick in the VAD307 kit save space and weight, they don't skimp on performance. Each drum is equipped with unique sensors designed to provide natural response and premium feel in an extremely compact size.

VAD307 features cymbals with much thinner profiles than previous generations, offering a more natural movement and better stick feel. Each cymbal can be choked by grabbing the edge - just like real acoustic cymbals. The 14-inch CY-14R-T ride cymbal even includes three-way triggering with independent sounds for the edge, bow and bell.

The way acoustic drums and cymbals are mounted not only provides a classic look - it also affects the feel during play. Tom pads are mounted on the same mounts used for acoustic toms, so they feel right when you hit them. Each stand is double-braced, which ensures stability and easy adjustment to suit your preferred setup.
