VAD507 provides the commanding presence of a full acoustic drum kit on stage – with the convenience and control of electronic drums.

This five-piece premium kit features full-depth and full-diameter wooden shells, covered in an attractive wrap and mounted on double-braced chrome stands.
Roland’s advanced digital sensor technology and the dynamic TD-27 drum module provide custom-tailored sound and response, with every stroke, ghost note, roll, and swell fully reproduced in incredible detail.

Building on the previous VAD506 model, VAD507 adds a digital hi-hat for even greater expression, as well as heavy-duty cymbal stands inherited from the flagship VAD706. The TD-27 module has also been updated, introducing new kits and samples, expanded processing options, Roland Cloud support, and much more.

With an impressive look, familiar layout, and the inspiring playability of a high-end acoustic kit, VAD507 makes any drummer feel instantly at home. The 14-inch steel snare, 10-inch tom, 14-inch floor tom, and 20-inch bass drum are constructed with full wooden shells, adding authenticity and providing a true acoustic feel under the sticks and beaters. The full cymbal set includes a 12-inch V-Hi-Hat, 14- and 16-inch crashes (both with a thin profile and textured finish), and an 18-inch ride, ensuring excellent playability and a natural look on stage.

Digital Snare, Ride, and Hi-Hat:

Roland's breakthrough digital pad technology is a major leap forward in electronic drumming, providing unparalleled depth and dimension under your sticks. Precision sensors in the snare, ride, and hi-hat pads work in harmony with the TD-27 module to capture every nuance with incredible definition and detail. Lightning-fast detection allows you to play with all natural acoustic techniques, such as muting the ride with a single finger touch or seamlessly switching between playing on the drumhead, hoop, and cross-stick technique on the snare. And the VH-14D takes electronic hi-hats to a new level with unmatched touch sensitivity, tonal variation, and open/closed resolution.

We start by sampling the finest drums, percussion, and cymbals - both vintage and modern - in world-class recording studios. Roland's unique Prismatic Sound Modeling is applied to the samples, bringing them to life with behavior modeling refined over two decades.

The updated TD-27 module includes 75 factory kits, including 10 brand-new kits and enhanced versions of the three most popular kits from the original release. New pre-loaded samples are available that can be combined with factory kits or your own kits.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming

Built-in Bluetooth allows you to wirelessly stream audio from your phone or laptop to the module, which is an ideal solution for playing with headphones. Play along with backing tracks and your favorite bands or mix audio from a YouTube lesson video using the kit. You can even record your performances—with or without a backing track—to hear where improvements are needed.
