Roland VAD716 electronic drum kit belongs to the V-Drums Acoustic Design series and combines electronic drum functions with the look and setup close to a full acoustic drum kit. The configuration includes wooden shells, a full-size bass drum, digital snare, digital hi-hat, digital ride, and V-Cymbals.

The V71 module offers an extensive sound library created in cooperation with Drum Workshop. It allows editing of tuning, muffling, head types, effects, and sound parameters of individual kit elements. It also supports custom sample import, recording, computer work, and connection with Roland apps.

The kit uses digital snare, hi-hat, and ride pads. This solution allows more accurate reading of articulation, strike position, hi-hat opening, and hand-choking of cymbals. The toms and floor toms have full-size wooden shells and mesh heads, which provide a more natural stick rebound and the look of a classic drum kit.

The 22" bass drum has a wooden shell and a sensor mounted on the head. The Gloss Crimson finish gives the kit a deep, lacquered look suitable for the stage, studio, and recording space.
