Moongel - used worldwide by many drummers, a damper for controlling drum sound, dampening unwanted overtones and resonance from the snare drum. Made of a gel material that requires no adhesive or mounting to the drumhead. The package contains 4 reusable "gels". Depending on dampening needs, it can be cut to smaller sizes. For additional dampening, the manufacturer recommends placing Moongel at 12, 6, and 3 o'clock.
