Description
SABIAN HHX Brilliant China 20" is a professional effects cymbal from the HHX series, known for its aggressive, “dirty,” yet very controlled sound. It has a Brilliant finish, which adds more attack and shimmer in the upper frequency range, helping it cut through the mix more easily than darker-finished versions.
This China has a very fast, explosive character – it hits sharply and “crashes” with immediate response, while its sound remains dark, slightly rough, and very musical. The 20" diameter gives it stronger, fuller low end and greater projection than smaller Chinas – hits are more massive, but still fast and clear. The Brilliant version additionally emphasizes the top-end “cut,” making the cymbal more expressive and easier to hear through a loud drum section and guitars.
