Description
HHX Legacy cymbals are a product created as an extension of the HHX – Evolution series. Their godfather is Dave Weckl, and the idea behind creating this series was to find instruments with a deeper and darker sound.
There are many irregular hammering marks on the crash's surface. The cymbal's sound is very crash-like – explosive and very fast. It has a dark, mellow tone. After being struck, the sound appears immediately, and the cymbal develops a full sound – powerful and saturated with vibration. The cymbal may seem aggressive, but within the context of the full kit in a live situation, it blends perfectly into the overall sound. It is responsive to various dynamic nuances with little change in sound character. A crash with significant mass and a smooth, relatively fast decay.
