Sonor Benny Greb Signature 13x5.75" - the latest version of the snare drum, signed by Benny Greb. Even more versatile with an incredibly universal sound.
The latest version uses Teardrop lugs referencing Sonor's 1950s aesthetics. Another new feature is the two-part MonoRail dampening system, which includes "The Sheep" fur dampener and "The Felt" felt dampener. Both dampeners are removable (via Velcro) and can be exchanged.
The beech shell consisting of 9 plies has an incredible tuning range and sounds brilliant at every dynamic level. The unusual 13x5.75" size perfectly fits the character of the wood.
It uses 2.3mm thick hoops, making the snare drum more open. The whole thing is made with German precision, which is visible with every contact with this instrument.
