The Tama Starclassic series has been constantly evolving since 1994, offering drummers sophisticated sound, reliable performance, and excellent value. The design of Starclassic drums has included various wood types, including pure beech, pure maple, and hybrid combinations of bubinga/beech and walnut/beech. Over the years, drummers have particularly appreciated the evolution of the Starclassic series towards hybrid shells, which have become highly valued due to their complex and expressive sonic characteristics. The latest Starclassic Performer series focuses on Tama's newest hybrid shell – maple/beech – which offers drummers a sound full of power, expression, and complexity, supported by solid Starclassic performance.
