Description
TAMA Starclassic Walnut/Birch 10", 12", 16", 22" (MPB) is a four-piece drum shell pack built around hybrid shells made from walnut and birch. The combination of these two wood species delivers the warm character and pronounced low end of walnut together with the focused, well-defined attack of birch. As a result, the kit offers a full, dynamic sound suitable for both live performance and studio work.
The 10" and 12" toms and the 16" floor tom feature 6 mm shells made from 4 plies of birch and 2 inner plies of black walnut. The 22" bass drum features an 8 mm shell made from 5 plies of birch and 2 inner plies of black walnut. This construction combines a clear attack with a warm, low-end-focused tonal character.
The kit is equipped with Die-Cast hoops and the Star-Cast tom mounting system. This solution provides stable tom mounting while minimizing the mount's interference with shell resonance. The kit also features Starclassic lugs and Evans drumheads.
The configuration includes a 22" × 16" bass drum, 10" × 8" and 12" × 9" toms, and a 16" × 14" floor tom. An MTH1000 Double Tom Holder is also included, allowing you to set up a classic and versatile drum configuration for rehearsals, live performances, and recording sessions.
