The 9A model is a size that fits comfortably between the classic 5A and 5B in terms of grip diameter. Equipped with a smaller barrel tip, it provides excellent clarity on cymbals and a focused, precise drum sound.
A short taper gives the sticks a fast, bouncy rebound and a dynamic feel while playing.
The Sugar Maple version is an ideal choice for more toned-down, subtle playing styles, as well as for orchestral and educational applications. It provides a lighter feel and greater control at lower dynamics.
The 9A model is the "older brother" of the extremely popular Vater 8A – offering a slightly larger size and even wider sonic possibilities.
